INTRODUZIONE AL CORSO
COURSE OBJECTIVE

Il corso si prefigge di identificare i principi e i trattamenti chirurgici utili per la previsione dei risultati nelle rinoplastiche primarie e secondarie, analizzando casi difficili come il naso deviato, la punta globosa e il naso corto, situazioni queste che comportano spesso il ricorso a tecniche più sofisticate.
In aggiunta al tema principale, il corso si occuperà del trattamento chirurgico dell’emicrania, per il quale è necessario un approccio multidisciplinare al problema, con il Neurologo quale membro del gruppo di studio. Per la prognosi e per il trattamento si ricorre all’impiego della Tossina Botulinica. Infine verranno illustrati i particolari della chirurgia dell’emicrania.

Identify the principles and surgical manoeuvres required to attain predictable results in primary and secondary rhinoplasty. Manage patients with complex nose problems (such as deviated noses, noses with thick skin, and short noses) that pose greater challenges as usual.
Identify the symptoms and diagnosis of migraine headaches with emphasis on the involvement of a neurologist as a team member. Recognize the use of Botox injections as a prognosticator and treatment modality. Describe the detailed surgical treatment of migraine headaches.

Laureato in Medicina all’Università di Tehran, il Dott. Bahman Guyuron si è specializzato dapprima in Chirurgia Generale all’Università di Boston, e successivamente in Chirurgia Plastica all’Università di Cleveland. E’ stato Direttore dei Reparti di Chirurgia Plastica in molte prestigiose università americane. Attualmente dirige la Divisione di Chirurgia Plastica della Case Western Reserve University di Cleveland. E’ stato nominato “Best Doctor of America” da una commissione di Chirurghi Plastici. La sua attività è prevalentemente dedicata alla chirurgia estetica, con particolare attenzione alla rinoplastica e, recentemente, al trattamento chirurgico dell’emicrania.

Dr. Bahman Guyuron is a graduate of Tehran University Medical School. He completed a residency in General Surgery at Boston University and a residency in Plastic Surgery at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. He is certified by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He has served as Director of the Division of Plastic Surgery of many renowned American Institutions. He currently serves as Chief of the Division of Plastic Surgery at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland. His peers have elected Dr. Guyuron among the Best Doctors of America. His practice is mainly devoted to aesthetic surgery, particularly rhinoplasty and recently to the surgical treatment of migraine headaches.
