José Horacio ABOUDIB, MD

Graduated in Medicine from the University of Brasilia in 1976. He moved to Rio de Janeiro, where he obtained the board in General Surgery. During the following three years, he took a specialization course in plastic surgery with Prof. Ivo Pitanguy, with whom he mantains strong relationship. He has been the President of the AEXPI (Association Ex-Alumni Pitanguy). Since the graduation with Prof. Pitanguy, he has been dedicating himself to private practice and has operated on thousands of patients. Head of Plastic Surgery Service at Rio de Janeiro University he is the current President of the Brasilian Society of Plastic Surgery (SBCP) and member of some important institutions such as: ISAPS (International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery); ASAPS (American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery); FILACAP (Latin American Federation of Plastic Surgery) and the CBC (Brazilian College of Surgeons). He is the author of 49 papers, 14 book chapters and 245 conference or lectures in Plastic Surgery.
